Honeywell Migration & Upgrade
Patrion delivers hands-on Honeywell Migration & Upgrade services that combine field engineering rigour with system-level controls expertise to modernize Experion PKS, C300 controllers, TDC/3000 and Uniformance historian environments. The team performs full-scope platform migrations, OS refreshes, controller replacements and DCS consolidations using a combination of Honeywell migration utilities, vetted third‑party conversion tools and manual engineering review. Typical workstreams include legacy system documentation, deterministic logic conversion and verification, operator graphics recreation, I/O mapping and communications re-homing for OPC DA/UA, Modbus/TCP, HART and Foundation Fieldbus channels. Patrion targets IEC 61131-3 alignment for converted logic and applies ISA-88/95 principles where batch and MES interfaces are present. Patrion engineers apply phased migration strategies: lift-and-shift virtualized migrations on VMware vSphere for systems moving to an IT/OT converged infrastructure; zone-by-zone phased migrations for complex brownfield sites; and precision hot-cutover executions for mission-critical control loops. FAT and SAT procedures are scripted and executed against acceptance criteria; parallel running and black‑box validation confirm deterministic behavior prior to cutover. Control-loop performance verification uses closed-loop testing and PID autotuning where required. Uniformance PHD historian migrations include timestamp reconciliation, sample-rate preservation, gap analysis and SQL/OPC data bridge verification to maintain auditability and analytic continuity. Deliverables are standardized and auditable: as-built logic listings, tag cross-reference matrices, graphic libraries and faceplates, wiring and I/O checklists, FAT/SAT scripts, rollback plans and change-control records. For legacy Honeywell platforms (for example TDC/3000 or older C300 firmware), Patrion recreates symbols and faceplates, builds protocol bridges, and runs deterministic logic test benches prior to site cutover. The team integrates Experion PKS with third‑party PLCs (Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens S7), networks (EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet/Profibus) and MES/ERP systems using ISA-95 mapping and OPC UA/DA gateways. Cybersecurity and operational continuity are embedded into every engagement. Standard practices include VLAN segmentation, hardened jump hosts, role-based access, antivirus baselines and adherence to IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800‑82 guidance. Field capabilities extend to loop checks, instrument calibration, hot‑ and cold‑cutover execution, rapid remediation and emergency rollbacks when unexpected site conditions arise. Patrion’s global deployment model supports scheduled upgrades, emergency response and long‑term field support agreements, delivering measurable reductions in downtime and rework while ensuring compliance with industry standards, traceable deliverables and site safety rules.
